When to Visit Zambia
Find out which are the best months to visit and see Zambia at its best.
The best time to visit Zambia is from May to September. The Victoria Falls is at its best as well as wildlife viewing in all parks as the animals congregate around water points making them easier to spot.
April and November are good months to visit Zambia. They fall in the low season and travellers can enjoy lower rates. The scenery is green and its a great time to see newborn animals and for bird watching as migratory birds are present.
December to March sees a closure of most camps and parks due to the rains with South Luangwa remaining open. Wildlife viewing is more difficult and from October to December the Victoria Falls dries up on the Zambian side.
